AIMode Quick Search does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The extension operates locally on your browser and:

  • Does not track your browsing activity
  • Does not store your search history on external servers
  • Does not collect personal information (name, email, location, etc.)
  • Does not use cookies for tracking purposes
  • Does not share data with third-party advertisers

1.2 Locally Stored Data

The extension stores the following data locally on your device only:

  • User preferences and settings
  • Saved collections (AI responses and saved pages)
  • Amazon price history for tracked products
  • API keys (encrypted and stored locally)

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

2. Third-Party AI Services (Google Gemini)

AIMode Quick Search uses Google Gemini API to process your AI queries. It is important to understand how Google handles data depending on the type of API access you use:

Free API Tier (Gemini API Free)

If you use the free API tier provided by Google, please be aware of the following:

  • Model Training: Google reserves the right to use your conversations and submitted data to improve its products and AI models.
  • Human Reviewers: Your data may be anonymized and reviewed by human annotators to improve model quality and safety.
  • Data Retention: Google may retain your input and output data according to their data retention policies.

Recommendation: Do not send sensitive information, passwords, proprietary code, personal data, or confidential business information when using the free API tier.

Paid API Tier (Gemini API Paid / Ultra)

If you use a paid API key (including Gemini Ultra or enterprise plans):

  • No Training: Your data is NOT used to train Google's AI models.
  • No Human Review: Your conversations are not reviewed by human annotators.
  • Enhanced Privacy: Your data is processed according to Google Cloud's enterprise data processing terms.

Your Responsibility

When you send text to be analyzed by the AI, that data is transmitted to Google's servers for processing. We recommend reviewing Google's AI Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy for complete information about how Google handles your data.

3. Amazon Price Tracker

The Amazon price tracking feature:

  • Stores price history data on our secure servers (Supabase) associated only with the product ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number)
  • Does not collect any information about you, your Amazon account, or your purchase history
  • Only tracks publicly available product prices

4. YouTube Features

The YouTube transcript and subtitle features:

  • Access publicly available transcript data from YouTube
  • Process all data locally on your device
  • Do not store or transmit video viewing history
  • Do not access your YouTube account information

5. API Keys

If you choose to use your own API key:

  • Your API key is encrypted and stored locally on your device
  • We never have access to your API keys
  • API keys are transmitted directly from your browser to Google's servers
  • You are responsible for securing and managing your own API keys

6. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to provide, modify, or delete. However, you can:

  • Clear all locally stored data by uninstalling the extension
  • Access and delete your saved collections through the extension interface
  • Remove your API keys at any time through the extension settings

7. Children's Privacy

AIMode Quick Search is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
